Botanical Walk and Jamu Crash Course

Walk through the hidden natural beauty of Ubud and learn the ancient recipes of healing drinks. On arrival in Ubud, meet your professional specialist guide and together take a walk through the quiet outskirts of the town to find the plants that will be used in the Jamu-making class - a traditional Indonesian herbal drink. Many Indonesian people drink these herbal concoctions on a daily basis to prevent disease or as treatment for existing health conditions. The guide will explain to you about all the plants, herbs or roots you see and their medicinal qualities. After the walk, refresh yourself with a drink of freshly brewed healthy tea. Armed with a lot of new knowledge and a variety of fresh herbs, learn how to make Jamu. You will also receive the Jamu recipes so you can make it again yourself once back home as many of the ingredients can easily be found in nature or grown at home.

Easy trekking is about 3 hours and class is 2 hours.
