ماذا ستفعل

This unique tour to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages will start in the morning from your accommodation in Marrakech where we will pick you up in a comfortable air-conditioned car or minibus.

We will head to the Atlas Mountains admiring the breathtaking views of the Berber villages before stopping at Tahnaout village to visit the Women Cooperative of Argan Oil and have a short walk in the weekly market held every Tuesday. Next, we will go to the Asni river for a ride on a camel at the foot of the village of Moulay Ibrahim and visit the weekly local market as well (held on Saturday).

Later, we will continue by car to the beautiful Imlil Valley. Accompanied by me, we will go for a walk through the beautiful landscapes of Imlil villages.

After returning to the village of Tagadirt not far from the virgin river, we will eat lunch consisting of tasty local cuisine served on the terrace overlooking the village.

After all, we will meet a local family to discover the traditional way of life of the inhabitants in the mountains.

Finally, you will return to the busy city of Marrakech by evening.

Imlil Valley at High Atlas Mountains

We spent a wonderful day at Imlil valley with our curator Brahim. The Atlas Mountains are breathtakingly beautiful. Compared to the chaos of cities like Marrakech, Imlil was peaceful and quiet with such fresh air and amazing water from the mountains. Cars and motorbikes were rare (bringing tourists like us to the valley), donkeys and horses were commonly used by the locals. We went hiking halfway up the Atlas Mountains with Brahim for about 4 hours, passing a number of small villages. At the end of the journey we had the most delicious tagine. Given our terrible experience in Marrakech I was cautious about what to expect, but Brahim did not disappoint. Do not purchase your argan oil and other stuff until you take this trip. The driver Abdul-Latif will take you to a women run co-op where the products are fresh and the women are truly lovely. I highly recommend a trip to Imlil valley with Brahim. A trip to Marrakech is not complete without seeing the Atlas Mountains.
